This is the Privacy Policy of Pioneer Europe NV, its affiliates and branch offices.
This Privacy Policy can be modified, for example, in connection with new processing activities, new features on the websites or to comply with new legal, contractual or administrative obligations. We therefore recommend that you regularly consult this Privacy Policy. Changes will be announced on our website.
1. WHEN DOES THIS PRIVACY POLICY APPLY?
This Privacy Policy applies to the processing of personal data within the context of visits to and interactions with the OEM B2B website “eu.oem.pioneer” and is not directed at consumers.
2. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
Pioneer Europe NV is the controller for the processing of your personal data. Pioneer Europe NV is a public limited liability company under Belgian law, whose registered office is established at Keetberglaan 1, 9120 Beveren (Belgium) (“Pioneer”, “we”, “our” or “us”).
3. WHICH PERSONAL DATA DO WE PROCESS ABOUT YOU AND WHY DO WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
a. When you contact us via the contact form
We process the personal data you provide via the contact form on our website. This includes your full name, company affiliation, contact information (such as email address and phone number), your country or region, the subject of your inquiry, and the message content.
b. Inquiries and exchange information with you
If you make an inquiry, we process your personal data in order to respond inquiry and provide you with the necessary information.
c. When you visit our website
We do not use cookies on this website. Personal data collected during your visit is limited to information you actively provide (e.g. via the contact form) and technical data that are automatically logged to ensure the security and proper functioning of the website. These technical data are limited to your IP address and the time of access. They are stored temporarily in server logs and automatically deleted after a short period (typically 7 days).
Depending on the individual case, these personal data are processed on the basis of your request to take steps prior to entering a contract, on the basis of the performance of a contract to which you are a party, or on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing you information about our activities and answering your inquiries.
4. WHO HAS ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
Your personal data will be accessible only to designated Pioneer employees responsible for processing your request.
Pioneer is selective in the parties to whom it discloses your personal data. In all cases, we will ensure that sufficient safeguards for the protection and confidentiality of your data are in place.
Pioneer may share your personal data with the following third parties who act on behalf of Pioneer:
• Pioneer affiliates including our parent company, Pioneer Corporation (Japan).
• Service providers providing specific services for us, such as web agencies or IT service providers.
In addition, Pioneer may be obliged to disclose your personal data when required by law or by court order.
5. DO WE TRANSFER YOUR PERSONAL DATA OUTSIDE THE EUROPEAN ECONOMIC AREA?
It is possible that Pioneer processes your personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). In this respect, Pioneer is committed to ensuring an adequate and sufficient level of protection for your personal data, in particular by relying on an adequacy decision under article 45 of the GDPR for the country to which data are transferred, by concluding standard contractual clauses under article 46.2 GDPR, or by any other appropriate safeguards provided for in Chapter V of the GDPR.

6. HOW ARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA PROTECTED AND HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
Pioneer takes reasonable efforts to ensure appropriate organisational and technical measures, taking into account the state of the art, the nature of processing and the potential risks, to protect your personal data against destruction, loss, modification or any other unauthorised processing. As part of protecting the security of your personal data, we have set in place a series of security measures and safeguards. Your personal data is stored on secure networks that may only be accessed by a limited number of persons holding special access rights and who undertake to respect and maintain its confidential nature.
Notwithstanding these measures, Pioneer cannot guarantee full security and due care should be taken when storing and/or sharing your personal data, particularly when connecting via unsecure or public networks.
7. HOW LONG DO WE RETAIN YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry and comply with applicable legal requirements.
8. WHAT ABOUT LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES AND SOCIAL MEDIA?
Pioneer has pages on LinkedIn. When you follow a link to LinkedIn, the respective platform may collect personal data in accordance with its own privacy policy. We do not transmit any cookie information or tracking data to LinkedIn from our website.

You have the right to:
• Access your personal data;
• Rectify inaccuracies to your personal data;
• Request erasure of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”);
• Restrict or object to processing of your personal data;
• Request the data portability of your personal data;

This Privacy Policy applies when you use the U.S. OEM website (currently available at eu.oem.pioneer) (the “Service”), made available by Pioneer Automotive Technologies, Inc. (“we“, “us,“ and “our“). The Service is intended for vehicle manufacturers and other businesses in the United States to learn more about our OEM offerings and submit contact information for further discussions. The Service isn’t for consumers, and you can’t buy anything through the Service.
This Privacy Policy explains how we process your personal information and how you can exercise control over our processing. We may update the Policy as the Service changes, so please check for updates regularly. Changes will be announced on our website.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND WHY WE PROCESS IT
We and our service providers collect information when you use the Service, including any information you provide via the contact form.
- Submissions to our contact form may include your full name, company affiliation, contact information (such as email address and phone number), U.S. mailing address, the subject of your inquiry, and the message content. We store and process that information to contact you directly.
- The Service automatically collects usage data during your visit. For example, we use service providers to ensure that web traffic is authentic and our websites are easy to use and are adequately secured. In this context, your IP address is temporarily stored in server logs for security and maintenance purposes and is automatically deleted after 7 days. It is not used to identify you.
The Service includes links to third-party websites, including LinkedIn. If you follow those links, the third-party site may request and collect data from your device, including sites you have currently and previously visited as well as your IP address. We do not control the information you exchange when you interact with such third-party sites or content. We do not “share” (as defined by applicable law) or sell personal information collected by the Service.

RETENTION
